  • Jodi Swindle

    Instructor

Jodi walked into Club Pilates last year shortly after the doors opened as a new member. She started coming every day, and sometimes multiple times per day! At the time she was in search of a new opportunity and career change and decided to embark on the teacher training through Club Pilates. She began her training in September of 2018, started teaching as an apprentice teacher in January 2019, and was fully certified in March of 2019. Fitness has been a part of Jodi’s life for as long as she can remember. She danced as a child and was on a dance team in college, taught step aerobics in the 90’s, practiced yoga regularly, and taught Nia technique as a Green Belt instructor. She is also a certified Integral Life Coach with a focus on somatic awareness and building the mind/body connection. What Jodi loves most about teaching is the connection to her clients. She considers it a privilege to guide them through their practice. To see clients begin walking through life with stronger posture, more balance in the body, less aches and pains, and a greater sense of well-being is the best reward.

  • Dorothy Stewart

    Instructor

Her history as an Instructor began at a young age when she started teaching Dance in 1972. She continued on with her formal Dance Career and Education as a Theater Arts Major at San Jose State University until at age 19, she was diagnosed with scoliosis, when she decided to give up dancing rather than undergo major spinal surgery and instead pursued a career in the fitness industry. In 1992, she and her husband relocated to Dallas, where she began training in the Pilates Method. She has studied with Master Pilates Teacher Nationwide, including Romana Kryzanowska, Kathy Grant, Sari Pace and Ron Fletcher, and conducted advanced teacher training workshops for local and national studios and the Cooper Institute for Aerobic Research. She is Certified through the Pilates Institute (1995), the American Council on Exercise (ACE 1991), and is a Traditional Thai Yoga Bodywork Practitioner (2007). She launched the Pilates Mat program for the Cooper Fitness Center in the 1990′s, growing the program from one class to eight-weekly classes within a few months. The program continued to flourish and she was the lead instructor for several years until she moved on to create Personal Pilates Plus. Dorothy also has a Yoga practice, loving the personal benefits of Yoga as well as its complementary role with Pilates. She has taken Teacher Training Courses with Shiva Rea, John Friend (Anusara Yoga) and YogaFit Levels 1 and 2. She later added the practice of Thai Yoga Body Work to her repertoire. The successful practice of Pilates will enable you to experience the Joy of Movement in whatever form that takes for you! Dorothy’s Clients enjoy her ability to tailor the Pilates Work to specific goals, needs, injuries, fitness levels and individual style, making the Pilates Work enjoyable, accessible, effective and fun!

  • Jacki Lamothe

    Master Trainer/Instructor

Jacki started working in the fitness industry in 2002 teaching Power Yoga and Trekking classes. Shortly after, she was introduced to Pilates and was hooked. Jacki believes that Pilates is all about postural balancing and her approach to this is through functional training using muscle confusion. She focuses on building a strong core of support for the body, strengthening the weaker long muscles and lengthening the shorter strong muscles. She aspires not only to train her clients but also to educate them to use and understand the Pilates methodology. Her goal for them is to incorporate it into their day to day activities or apply it to their sport specific events. In her free time she enjoys doing triathlons. Her motto in life is “you rest you rust”.

  • Bernadett Gazsi

    Instructor

Bernadett began practicing Pilates for physical therapy after a lower back injury in 2010 while she was living in Sydney, Australia. Once she healed her own body Bernadett moved to Melbourne, Australia where she studied and trained as a STOTT Pilates instructor and received her Matwork certification. Bernadett relocated to the United States in 2013. She lives in Allen with her husband and her son. She got her Reformer Certification in 2014 when she was 6 months pregnant. Pilates was love at first sight for Bernadett. She was intrigued and amazed how Pilates changed her body and also quickly realized she had body awareness which positively influenced her whole life. Our posture effects our everyday life how you stand how you walk how you sit in the car and how you hold your baby in your arms. In every session, Bernadett emphasizes proper form, breathing, and alignment to safely challenge her clients while building proper techniques and bio mechanics for maximum performance and injury prevention.
